WortGo

German vocabulary that sticks inside a story

Hard words are easier to recall when they do a job in a scene. WortGo collects those words and gives you a level-aware prompt. You bring the story back.

A list of lemmas is easy to forget by the next morning. A short scene that forces the same words to act is harder to lose, because you remember the situation, not only the gloss.

WortGo Story Mode starts from words you have been rating Again or Hard. It does not silently write the story for you inside the app. It prepares a prompt matched to your CEFR level. You take that prompt to the assistant you already use, then upload the story back.

The actual flow

  • After review, open stories from your hard words.
  • WortGo returns prompt text, not a finished story.
  • You create the story with your own model, then upload the JSON.
  • The story is saved to your account. You can add an image yourself.
  • Highlighted target words open a dictionary popup: translation, examples, synonyms, antonyms.

Before: three isolated cards

  • der Zufall
  • verschwinden
  • heimlich

After: one short scene

  • Durch einen Zufall fand Lea den Schlüssel.
  • Der Hund war heimlich in die Küche gegangen.
  • Am Abend war das Brot verschwunden.

Saved stories are capped at 10 per account. Images are optional uploads, not generated pictures. The reader can speak the story with the browser voice.

Prompts use your level: simpler language at A1–A2, more complex language at B1–B2.
